Act Now to Secure Fair Wages and Conditions for Health Care Support Workers

Tell the Manitoba Government you can’t fix health care without supporting the front-line support workers who make health care happen.

It’s time to go All In For Health Care.

Years of conservative cuts and wage freezes have thrown our health care system into chaos. The new government must step up. Fixing the staffing crisis starts with fully investing in front-line health care workers.

We are calling on the Manitoba government to deliver on their promise and fix health care by:

  • Support existing workers: Fair pay and better working conditions for health care support staff.

  • Recruit new workers: Staffing shortages are hurting care. We need competitive contracts to attract new support staff to public health care now.

  • Fix home care: Home care workers have been overlooked for decades. It’s time to give them the respect and conditions they deserve as key members of the health care team.

  • End privatization: Stop relying on private agencies. Keep public health care public.

  • Legislate minimum staffing: Mandatory staffing levels in care homes must be law—not just for nurses, but for all health care support staff.
